About James Harley Drum Lessons

Welcome to James Harley Drum Lessons. I offer 1-on-1 drum lessons to students of all
ages and skill levels, in the comfort of your own home.

Don’t have a drum set? Not a problem;

You’re welcome to book lessons at my home studio in Massapequa, while you think about investing in your own drum set.

I serve students anywhere on Long Island, within a half hour drive of Massapequa.

I’ve been playing drums on a traditional drum set for 14 years. I began taking lessons
when I was 13 years old, and continued taking lessons for 6 years until I was proficient
enough to advance through my own practice.

I start my students off with the rudimentary
drum strokes and beat patterns, and then quickly move on to teaching songs of the
student’s choice.

All lessons are catered to the specific style and genre of music the
student wishes to play.

How It Works

Whether you’ve never picked up a pair of drumsticks in your life, you’re self-taught, or
developed skills with another drum teacher, I have what it takes to get you to the next
level. 30-minute and 1-hour lessons available. Book here by selecting a date and time
slot, choosing the location of your lesson, (your house or my house), and providing some
basic contact information. Once you’re booked, I’ll reach out to confirm your lesson, and
get a little more information on the student to provide the best experience.
